  	John William Buchko, 77, of 4321 Terrace Drive died at 11:04 p.m. Tuesday, July 14, 1998, at his home. Born Dec. 2, 1920, in Ironwood, Mich., to Arthur and Elsie Baird Buchko, he married Mary Proehl on Aug. 2, 1941, in Chicago. She survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Gary (Marilyn) Hutton of Elmwood; one brother, Arthur of Battle Creek, Mich.; two sisters, Katherine Hanson of Saltan, Wash., and Gertrude Postill of Gulfport, Miss.; two grandchildren, Timothy Hutton of Peoria and Mrs. Patrick (Dawn) Nichting of Peoria, who took care of him; and six great-grandchildren. Four brothers preceded him in death. A World War II Army veteran, he was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4999 and American Legion Post 9. He was a foreman at LeTourneau Westinghouse for many years until retiring. He was a Shriner and a member of Creve Coeur Masonic Lodge 1170, AF&AM. Services will be at noon Friday at Weber Funeral Home, where visitation will be one hour earlier. Cremation will be accorded. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Chillicothe City Cemetery. Peoria Journal Star - July 16, 1998.
