  	Sidney Alcock, former well known resident, died suddenly in Sudbury, Ontario, Thursday, April 2nd. Born in Kenora, June 8th, 1906, he was in his 53rd year. He received his education in Kenora and was employed at the CPR yard office prior to going to Sudbury where he was a security guard for E.S.M. Cape Co. Mines. He was a member of the Anglican Church. He is survived by his widow, the former Thelma Reid, one daughter, Mrs. Wm. (Noreen) Alton of Kenora; two brothers, Fred of Kenora and Harold of Penticton, BC; two sisters, Mrs. Belle Ames of Kenora and Mrs. W.H. George of Keewatin, also one grandchild. The remains will arrive in Kenora Sunday morning. Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon, April 6th, at two o'clock in St. Alban's Pro-Cathedral. Rev. J.W. Whitford will officiate and interment will be in the Lake of the Woods Cemetery. The Brown Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.
