  	Hymeneal Calvin church, Bathurst, was the scene of a nice wedding on Wednesday, Dec. 1st; the contracting parties being Mr. Wm. George Fournier, of Bathurst, and Miss Jennie, second daughter of mr and Mrs W.J. Steele, of Scotch Line. At 11 o'clock am, as Mrs Rugus H. Deacon, the bride's sister, played the wedding march, the groomsman and groom marched in, when the bride was given away by her father. Following these came the bridesmaid. The knot was tied by the pastor of the church, Rev. D.H. Hodges. This being the first wedding in the church, the minister in befalf of the session presented the newly-married couple with a handsome Bible. The bride looked charming in a suit of cream cashmere, and was assisted by her sister, L. Jessie, dressed similarly. Mr Gus Fournier, brother of the groom, fulfilled the duties of groomsman. After the ceremony the bridal party drove to the bride's home and partook of a wedding dinner, and soon after started for the home of the groom's parents where a grand tea and a large crowd of friends awaited them. Supper was again served at 12 o'clock. The festivities were kept up till nearly morning, when the company began to leave, wishing the young couple every happiness in the future.
