On the 12th March, 1847, by special license from the Governor General, I married here, Duncan McNee, of Drummond, to Margaret Campbell, of Bathurst. Patrick Campbell and John Campbell signed the certificate. Wm. Bell, Minr.

At the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Gardiner Gilday, 59 Bruce Avenue, Westmount, on Tuesday, May 11th, 1915, Margaret Campbell, widow of the late Duncan MacNee, in her 93rd year. Service at 8 p.m., at the above address, on Wednesday. Interment in Perth, Ont., on Thursday.

Margaret Campbell, relict of the late Duncan McNee, aged 91 years. She was the eldest of the family of Ann Gray and Peter Campbell, whose families came from Scotland and settled in Bathurst in 1816 and 1817 respectively. She was married March 12, 1847. Her husband's parents came in 1821 from Lochearnhead, Scotland. He died in Westmount in June 1901 in his 92nd year.
Two sons and two daughters survive: Peter Campbell, barrister, Picton; John B., Albany, N.Y.; Annie Gray and Margaret Campbell (Mrs. Gardiner Gilday), Westmount. Also two brothers: John G., Perth; Alexander B., Jacksonville, Fla.; Mrs. John McArthur, Seattle, Wash.; and Miss Catharine, New York.
Daughter Elizabeth Clark and sons Duncan Stuart, M.D. and James Edwin, M.D. predeceased.
