  	Katharine Couper Watrous, 81, died March 20, 2007 in Binghamton, NY. She was born on November 13, 1926, in Binghamton. Predeceased by husband, Joseph B. Watrous, Jr., MD and parents Edgar Williams Couper and Esther Watrous Couper and brother, Richard Watrous Couper. Survived by children: Janet Couper Watrous Kochersberger, Peter Shaffer Watrous, Elly Williams Watrous Summers and Carolyn Cory Watrous. Also five grandchildren. Considered by some to be somewhat philanthropic to her community. Considered by others to be unloving and cruel--especially to several of her children. She suffered in her later years from numerous neurosis. Her "love tank", was never filled in childhood preventing her from having the ability to love unconditionally. It was a tragic ending. Cremated and scattered on her private estate. Allen Memorial Home in charge of arrangements.
