  	Ruth Williams Couper died in September of 1960 in Binghamton General Hospital after a short illness. She was a member of the Tuscarora Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution. Her funeral service will be at the Prentice Funeral Home in Binghamton, NY. She was born in 1875 in Kirkland, NY. Survived by her Son: Edgar Williams Couper; Daughter: Mary Williams Couper both of Binghamton, NY; Grandchildren; Richard Watrous Couper and Katharine Couper Watrous both of Binghamton, NY. Also survived by several Great-Grandchildren. Predeceased by Husband: Walter Thomas Couper; Son: Frederic Maxwell Couper; Daughter: Rachel Williams Couper. She faced many challenges, (including the loss of two of her children), but did so with grace and dignity. Beloved by family and friends. Burial in the family plot in Chenango Valley Cemetery in Binghamton, NY following her funeral service.
