Re date of birth: Both the 1901 census and her Ontario death registration (on which her husband was the informant) indicate Eliza was born 24 JULY 1878. The 1911 census also shows she was born July 1878 [not 1879 as transcribed on Ancestry.com] Her Ontario birth registration shows she was born 24 September 1879, but also shows her birth was registered prior to the date of birth entered , on 12 September 1879. The birth registrations covered on the pages where Eliza's is found go over several different years. It appears the correct date of birth is 24 JULY 1878.
