Robert Morton, 64, of Lebanon, died Thursday, Oct. 31, at Lebanon Community Hospital of an apparent heart attack.
Funeral services will be at 4 pm Monday at Jost Funeral Home, with the REv. Bill Miller officiating. Private burial will follow at the Lebanon IOOF Cemetery.
Memorial contributions can be made to Lebanon Community Hospital.
Morton was born March 13, 1921, at Basin , Wyo., and moved to the Lebanon area as a child. He lived in the area until 1962, when he moved Elgin, where he owned and operated a grocery store. He retired in 1964 as a forklift driver at a plywood mill.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, was a member of the Elgin First Christian Church, the La Grande Elks Lodge, tyhe La Grande Fraternal Order of Eagles, and the Elgin Stampeders.
Survivors include four daughters, Sally Wolfenbarger, Lebanon; Kathy McCann, Mesa, Ariz.; and Susie Williamson and Tracie Morton, both of Elgin; two sons, Steve, La Grande, and Dan, Elgin; two sisters, Viola Fuller, Lebanon, and Bernice Weldon, Minnesota; 18 grandchildren and one great grandchild

Robert Morton Funeral services were held on Mondav, Nov. 4, at Jost Funeral Home for Robert Morton, 64, of Lebanon, who died Thursday, Oct. 31, at Lebanon Community Hospital, apparently of a heart attack. Rev. BUI Miller officiated.
Private burial followed at the Lebanon I OOF Cemetery. Mr. Morton was born March 19, 1921, at Basin, Wyo, and came to the Lebanon area as a child.
