  	T.C. Barrie of Ogilvy's Passes at 71 A man who played a prominent part in Otttawa business life for many years, Thomas Cameronn Barrie ddied suddenly at his home, 84 Carling Avenue. He was 71. Still active in his capacity as manager at Charles Ogilvy, Ltd., having declined an offer of superannuation, Mr. Barrie was well liked by his friends and co-workers for his happy disposition and simplicity of manner. Born at Perth, son of the late Archibald  Barry and Margaret Campbell, he came to Ottawa as a young man and was employed by the Ogilvy firm. Three years later, spurred by a youthful dream to see the west, he accepted an offer to become the representative of Greenshields, Ltd., Montreal in western Canada. He was stationed in Moose Jaw and Regina. In 1929 he returned to Ottawa and was re-engaged by the Charles Ogilvy Company in a managerial capacity. In 1946 he became a director of the organization. He bowled with teh Charles Oglivy Bowling Club, and was also active in organizations at Chalmers United Church, of which he was an elder. He is survived by his wife, the former Jean May Cherry, whom he married in 1904. also survived by a son, Harold C., and two grandchildren in Orange, Texas, and a sister, Mrs. R.C. Peden, of Ottawa. The body is resting at Hulse and Playfair, Ltd., 315 McLeod Street, where the funeral service will be conducted in the chapel on Wednesday at 3:45 pm. Rev. A.L. Griffith of Chalmers United Church will officiate. Burial will be in Beechwood Cemetery.
