  	"Corning Daily Observer" (Corning, California), Thursday, 12 August 1982 Huge Luce, 83, dies at home Hugh Luce, well known Flournoy rancher and horseman, was found dead in his home yesterday. He was 83 years of age and had resided in Glenn and Tehama Counties all his life. He was born Nov. 4, 1898 in Newville to pioneer parents, Isaac and Helen Cushman Luce. He was a member of Tehama County Farm Bureau and Olivet Lodge, No. 205, F. and A. M. He is survived by five daughters, Arabelle Maitia, Nita Pitkin, Charlotte Humphrey and Barbara Humphrey, all of Flournoy, and Ardell Pitkin of Red Bluff; a sister, Marguerite Williams of Corning; 22 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. His wife, Neva Luce, died June 1980. Memorial services will be held in the family plot in Paskenta Cemetery Sunday at 2 p.m. with Olivet Lodge, No. 205 officiating.
