  	1935, Thursday December 5, The Almonte Gazette front page Mr William Glover There passed away at his home on Christian Street, Almonte, at four o'clock Wednesday afternoon, a wellknown and popular citizen in the person of William Glover, in his 70th year. Born in the town of Almonte, a son of the late John Glover and Elizabeth Jenkinson of Edinburgh, Scotland, who came to this town in the early days when it still was a village, deceased played a prominent part in the industrial life of the town. He was a master mechanic, having learned his trade in the Young Brothers' Foundry and later was associated with Bowland, William and Glover, who purchased the foundry from its original owners, and who carried on the business until it was taken over by the late Alex McLean. Mr Glover was twice married, first to Miss Minnie McKay of Ramsay, who passed away some twenty years ago. To this union were born two daughters and a son, namely, Dorothy, Mrs Elsworth of Stamford, Conn, Wilma, Mrs A. Clark of Vancouver and William of Kirkland Lake, all of whom survive him. Seventeen years ago the deceased was married to Miss Letita Watchorn of Almonte. There remain to mourn his loss in addition to his widow and members of the first family, two sisters and one brother: Mrs David Williams of Almonte; Mrs Andrew Young of Almonte and Mr Adam Glover of Hamilton. Always of a quiet kindly disposition, Mr Glover enjoyed to an unusual degree the confidence and respect of the community, whose sympathy is extended to the family home on Christian street of Friday afternoon at two o'clock to the Auld Kirk Cemetery, Rev A.J.
