  	WALTER RICHARD C. Richard C. Walter, of Hunker, R.D.1, died in New York City, Thurs., Oct. 28 at Frick Hospital in Mt.  Pleasant. He was born April 1, 1914. He moved to Pittsburgh in 1947 where he was with Firth-Sterling Steel Company of McKee sport for over 30 years,retiring with Teledyne Vasco of Latrobe in 1981. He was preceded in death by his parents, George Shepherd and Margaret White Walter; his first wife, Mildred Mather; brothers George and Joseph and sister Edna Moore. He is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years,the former Joan Hall, and daughter Lois E. Walter; sisters Alyce Hering (husband Edward) and Margaret McGrath, both of New Jersey; several nieces and nephews. There will be no visitation and service is private. Memorial donations maybe made if desired to the Pennsylvania Room of the Carnegie Library in Oakland, Pittsburgh or to Frick Hospital, Mt. Pleasant, PA.
