  	Mr Wm Buffam Mr Wm Buffam passed away on March 15, 1953, at the home of his daughter, Mrs Stanley Lacelle, of Almonte. He was in his 76th year. He was a son of the late William Samuel Buffam and his wife, Jennett Anderson of Fallbrook. In his early life he went to Springfield, Mass, and there was a machinist. Later, he returned to Snow Road and took up farming for some years. He then moved to Hopetown and there he was employed by the C. Richardson Box Factory for some time. Then he retired and moved to Almonte. Mr Buffam has resided in Almonte up to the time of his recent death. Left to mourn is his wife, Ethel, two boys, Samuel and Alfred, of Almonte, also a daughter, Dorothy Stewart of Northbrook and a daughter in Almonte, Mrs Stanley Lacelle. Also surviving are two grandchildren of Northbrook, Dale and Marjorie Stewart, and two sisters, Mrs MacLachlan of Vancouver and Mrs James Ennis of Fallbrook. Two sisters predeceased him, Mrs Maxwell of Vancouver and Mrs Ferrier of Perth; also two brothers, Alf of Vancouver and Fred of Fallbrook. The funeral took place from Mrs Lacelle's residence, Main Street. Rev Mr Wolfraim conducted the service. Interment was in the Auld Kirk Cemetery. The pallbearers were Jack McGill, Jas Majaury, Findlay Playfair, Jack Stewart, Stanley Lacelle, Wm Rankin. The Almonte Gazette  Thursday March 19, 1953, page 8
