  	KATHERINE HUNTLEY RONAN -- Katherine Huntley, 94, formerly of Polson, died at the St. Luke Extended Care Facility here on March 21, 2004. She was born in Philipsburg to Nellie Maude Hanna and John Hector "Jim" Grant. The family later homesteaded northwest of Elmo, where she was schooled. She completed the eighth grade in Butte, then worked as a milker. She returned to Elmo, where she worked in a hotel. She married Harry Bruce Huntley Sr. on Jan. 22, 1929. They lived in Butte, Big Arm and Elmo. She was a school clerk, a cook and a waitress. She loved to read, do crossword puzzles and hike. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a granddaughter, brother Jim, and a baby brother and sister. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Dorla Jean Scott (Ronan), Dorothy Irene and Harry Fishel (Washougal, WA), Jasper (Victoria, TX), Harry Bruce Jr. and Sharon (Columbia Falls), John Jay and Caroline (Nevada), Nathan Lee (Polson), Howard Ray and Rosie (Falling Waters, WV), and George William and Sandy (Polson); 17 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren; five stepchildren; one nephew; and four nieces. A memorial service was held on March 27 in Polson.
