  	Obituary. Mr. Peter Kerr, of Lanark village, died on Sunday, June 11th, at his home. Mr. Kerr lived close by what is known as Kerr's Lake, within the limits of the village. Deceased had been ailing for some time with complications of diseases which ended in a species of dropsy. Mr. Kerr came out from Scotland about the year 1820, and was 83 years of age. The remains were conveyed to the Lanark cemetery on Tuesday afternoon by a large retinue of sympathizing friends. [Col. 2, Pg. 8; The Perth Courier; Friday, 16 Jun 1893; Vol. LIX, No. 41] He was baptized 27 Feb 1809 at Oldhamstocks, East Loathian, Scotland and married 1st, Agnes Rorison (c1813-1874), eldest daughter of John Rorison of Ramsay, 20 Feb 1835 at Ramsay by the Rev. John Fairbairn (Presbyterian) and 2nd, Janet Browning (1820-1895)
