He, and his wife Janet Blair had no children but adopted a great-niece Mary Jane Wood whom he had reared from a child and who inherited the Munro property (rear part of w1/2 of L6 Con3 Bathurst - 63 acres) after his death.  She lived on the property with her husband and children in 1934.
