  	Mr. John McDonald Among the many aged people whose vitality the severity of this winter season has weakened unto the death stage was Mr. John McDonald, one of the oldest residents of the place, and one of the most aged inhabitants. He death occurred on Sunday last at the age of eighty-eight years. He was of Scottish Highland descent, but was born in Canada, living most of his life in this neighborhood. In his earlier manhood he and his brother Angus lumbered upon the Tay and Fall River, at which they had their ups and downs; but the family of which there were several brothers and sisters, well educated, held a good social position, and were all well known in this part of the county. Deceased, inhis later years, followed the occupation of pumpmaking until old age left him helpless for work. He was married to Miss Bennett, of Harper, sister of the late Mr Edward Bennett, of Harper, who with several children, survive. He was buried in the Roman Catholic cemetery on Tuesday.
