Hendry, John Alexander 'Jack'

Peacefully in hospital in Perth on Friday, February 8th, 2013 Jack Hendry (owner of Treeland Orchard and Christmas Tree Farm) in his 95th year. Beloved husband and soul mate for 62 years of M. Barbara (White) Hendry. Jack was a quiet family man, great strength of character and faith filled. He was a parishioner of both St. John the Baptist, Perth, Ontario and St. John the Baptist, St. John, New Brunswick. Jack received the Queen's Jubilee medal as an expression of the esteem in which he was held by his employer, the Government of Canada. Loving father of Patricia Hendry Woolsey (late Lance), Donald (Leslie), Barb (Kenton) Shanks, Cathy Hendry, Jim (Laura), John (Nathalie), Mary (Neil) Russell, Jeannie (Andrew) Perkins, predeceased by daughter Janet Hendry and in infancy John James and Robert Alexander. Cherished grandfather of Christopher (Jessica), James (Shelley), Kalem (Celine), Jared, Sarah, Matthew (Sarah), Robert (Krisy), Scott (Fiona), Renee (Kyle), Brooke (Michael), Gabriel, Nathalie, Eric, Jillian, Brock, Maya, Samantha, Joshua, Emma, Declan and Benjamin; great grandfather of Logan, Ella, Austin, Nola, Graeson, Jace, Griffin, Peyton, Ayden and Aslyn. Brother of the late George Hendry, Christine Kenny, Muriel Thomas, Frances Johnson and Louis Hendry. He will be sadly missed by his nieces, nephews, many friends and all his family. Friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore St. W. Perth on Friday, February 15th, 2013 from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 P.M. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. John's Church, Perth on Saturday at 10:00 A.M. Interment, St. John's Parish Cemetery. In honour of Jack please do a random act of kindness; those wishing to make a memorial donation are asked to consider the Multiple Sclerosis Society or the Canadian Cancer Society.
