Miss V.E. WALSH JUNE BRIDE
Brockville Girl Becomes Bride of Hugh L. Cameron of Fall Brook in Charming Ceremony
Brockville, Ont., Nov.23 -
The residence of Mr. and Mrs. Fred H. Walsh, 70 George street, was the scene of a pretty wedding on Saturday afternoon at two o'clock when their eldest daughter, Miss Vera Evelyn, became the bride of Hugh Lionel Cameron, of Fall Brook, near Perth.
The ceremony was performed by Rev. Dr. D. MacOdrum, minister of the First Presbyterian church, in the presence of a number of relatives andintimate friends. Owing to a recent death in the bride's family the wedding was of a quiet nature.
The bride, who was given In marriage by her father, was attired in cornflower blue chiffon, with hat and shoes of corresponding shade and carried a bouquet of butterfly roses, adiantum and lillies-of-the-valley. She wore a marcasite necklet and bracelet, gifts of the bridegroom and was unattended.
The wedding music was played by Mrs. D. MacOdrum and during the ceremony Hilliard L. Campbell rendered "All Joy Be Thine".
A buffet luncheon was served, the residence being tastefully decorated with mums - of bronze, white and yellow, the table bearing the bride's cake being graced with pink babyroses.
Mr. and Mrs. Cameron left by motor to spend a week or so at Springfield. Mass. and Beaton, before returning to take up residence here. Going away, the bride wore a dress of brown crepe, fur trimmed, brown coat trimmed with mole collar and cuffs, sand hat and shoes to match.
Among the guests present from a distance were the bridegroom's parents. Mr. and Mrs, James L. Cameron. Fall Brook; his brother, Walter G. and Mrs. Cameron, Fall Brook: Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Wrathall, Perth; Mr. and Mrs, W. H. Lane, Cornwall and Mr. and Mrs. John Hartwick, Wellington.
