It may be that the Loftus were also in the employ of Joseph Philips, a shoemaker and his wife Harriet. The following entry is for William Kingsley, Clerk and Lady Elizabeth, from England, both aged 29 and married in 1856. Although less likely, it may be that they were the employers.
