  	James Johnson, who was active in the Woodmere-Lawrence United Methodist Church for more than 50 years, died on Tuesday, August, 12 at the age of 63. Mr. Johnson, who lived in Lynbrook, was the former owner and President of Johnson Ice & Fuel Company on Broadway in Lynbrook. He was the past president of the Hewlett Unit 865, Nassau Chapter CSEA, and worked form many years in the Hewlett-Woodmere School district as a custodian. He was also a member of the 803 Military Police Benevolent Society. Beloved husband of Isabel. Devoted father of Audrey and Frank Johnson and Beverly Ziegler. Dear brother of Isabella DeVallee. Loving grandfather. A funeral service was held at Perry Funeral Home, Lynbrook, on Thursday, August 14, with the Rev.Leon Kofod, pastor emeritus of the Woodmere-Lawrence Methodist Church officiating. Linda Krummel, soloist of the church choir sang a favorite hymn of Mr. Johnson's, "How Great Thou Art." Mr. Johnson was an active member of the church choir.
