The death has occurred at Inverness of Lt. Colonell Charles MacIver Ritchie of Ardlarach, Tain. Born in 1873, he was educated at Charterhouse and the Royal Military Academy, and joined the R.A. in 1893. He served in the Great War, and was promoted to Lt. Colonel in the R.A. in 1915. Lt. Col. MacIver Ritchie was appointed a Deputy Lieutenant of Ross and Cromarty in 1830.
