Robert Edmund Halpenny, 85, suite 1, Lorscott apartment, died in a Regina hospital Monday Mr Halpenny was born in Lanark county, and when 15 was brought to Minnedosa, Man. He finished his schooling there, and in 1893 he opened his own fruit confectionery store at Minnedosa.
In 1911 he sold out and went on the road as a commercial traveller. He made his headquarteis in Winnipeg and Edmonton and came to Regina 28 years ago. He retired 1938. His work was mainly with Dominion department of agriculture, fruit and vegetable division
He married Eva King, of Owen Sound, at Minnedosa in 1914. She survives him with two children. Jean at home, and Lloyd, 2880 Athol street. A brother Fred,' Minnedosa, and two sisters, Mrs W Sirrett, Minnedosa and Mrs Sarah Halpenny, Winnipeg
Mr Halpenny was a Mason for many years and more than 50 years an Oddfellow He was formerly active in the Northwest Commercial Travellers association and m the United Commercial Travellers.
