Armour, Hilda - At the four Winds Private Hospital, Perth, Ont., Thursday, December 23, 1976, Hilda McLaren, in her 79th year, beloved wife of R. Gordon Armour; dear sister of Caroline (Mrs. George Holmes, of Wellandport and william McLaren, of Harcourt, Ont. Resting at the Bliar and Son Funeral Home, 15, West Gore Stl, Perth from 12 noon Sunday Dec. 26, Funeral service will be conducted in the chapel Monday Dec. 27 at 2 pm Interment Elmwood cemetery.

Mrs. Hilda Armour
Hilda Alice Frances MacLaren passed away in her 79th year at the Four Winds Private Hospital on Dec 23, 1976. She was born the daughter of William MacLaren and his wife Caroline Poole.
She received her education in local schools and graduated from Queen's University specializing in Mathematics. After teaching in various secondary schools she became a regular member of the staff of the Belleville Collegiate Institute where she taught for 37 years and was highly regarded by the staff and pupils. She was always a vailable for extra tuition for a struggling student having problems with his studies.
She was married to RobertGordon Armour and lived out her retirement years on the lower Scotch Line. She is survived by one brother William of Harcourt, Ontario and one sister Caroline, Mrs. George Holmes of Wellandport, Ontario. She is predeceased by one brother John and one sister Beryl.
The many flowers and gifts from relatives and friends attest the respect her friends held for her and very much appreciated. Her quiet, pleasant personality and her sincere willingness to help those in need of assistance will be remembered.

I wish to express thanks and appreciation to the staff of the Kingston General, Great War Memorial and Four Winds Private Hospitals for the care and comfort given to my wife during her time of illness.
