  	W. Albert Duncan Laid to Rest There passed away in North Sherbrooke, on December 12th, 1952, William Albert Duncan, second son of John Duncan and Mary Matthie. He was born on February 22nd, 1891, where his parents lived on the Highland Line, near McDonald's Corners in Dalhousie Township. On March 8th, 1941, he was united in marriage to Margaret Elizabeth Wilson, youngest daughter Eben. Wilson and Margaret Buchan by the Rev. K McCaskil of McDonald's Corners, who survives, also one sister-in-law, Ellen Jane Wilson. The surviving members of the family are Bert and John in Dalhousie; Mabel (Mrs. Johnston) of Vancouver; Effie (Mrs. Johnston) of Vancouver; Effie (Mrs. Saunders) of Montreal; Hazel of St. Jose, Cal.; and Margaret (Mrs. Trombley) of Perth. He was an employee of the Hydro for quite a number of years when he came to live near Elphin, He was a good neighbour and friend, always ready to help and do a good turn in time of need and his passing was a great shock to those around him. The funeral on December 15th, from his late residence to Elphin church was conducted by teh Rev. Gordon Brett. The remains were then taken to Craawford's cemetery. The pallbearers were James McBain, Lindsay Duncan, D.J. Nesbit, Roy Ferguson, Eldred Gemmill and R.J. Paul. Flower bearers were the following, Ralph Duncan, Billie Duncan, Murray Nesbit and Robert Trombley. Floral tributes were received from Margaret and Ellen; Mrs. A. Deep; Bert and Olive; John Catharine and family; Margaret and family; Mr and Mrs Lindsay Duncan; Mr and Mrs John Nesbit; the Elphin Literary Society and the Directors of the Hopetown Telephone Co.
