  	Anthony Republican, 24 May 1912: Edwin Hartley, for several years a resident of Anthony township, died Tuesday after several years of great suffering from cancer of the face. He was eighty years old. The funeral was conducted by Rev. G. L. Rulison of the M. E. church at the church Wednesday afternoon; interment in Forest Park Cemetery. He leaves three sons, residents of Anthony and Anthony township, J. H. Hartley, E. A. Hartley and W. J. Hartley; the first and last named sons being the owners of the Hartley Bros. transfer company.
