"For the large Metcalfe Methodist Circuit, the earliest Class lists now available, those of 1858, indicate that George Sully was leaader fot the Class at Blair's schoolhouse. This class grew so that the schoolhouse must have been overflowing and a second class was formed. In 1863 the Sully members included - George, Ann J., Eliz'th, Jane C., James B. The Blair names were: John Sr., Marg't, John Jr., Wellington. Other surnames represented were - Scrivens, James, McKnight, Howes, Otto, Sheppard, Scott, Savage. Other meeting places were - St Helena, Duncanville, J. Scott's home, Gower's church, Mountain, Bearbrook Church, Metcalfe, McVeigh's Schoolhouse, Fenton's Schoolhouse, Eastman's Schoolhouse. George Sully was very actively involved."
