Born in Winnipeg on the 31st December 1891, Andrew Baird was the son of Rev. Dr. Andrew Browning Baird and Penelope Campbell Baird, of 247, Colony St, Winnipeg, Manitoba. His father was a Presbyterian Minister & Acting Principal of Manitoba College. Andrew had attended Manitoba College and attained a B.A. He was not married. His occupation was listed as Barrister on his Attestation papers when he enlisted in Winnipeg on the 1st November 1915. Originally with the 90th Battalion he transferred to the 14th Battalion. Andrew was killed in action on the 8th August 1918.
