  	Agnes Browning Baird On October 9th, 1969 at Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg, Agnes Browning Baird, daughter of the late Professor Andrew B. Baird, formerly of Manitoba Colledge and Augustine United Church. She was born in Winnipeg and served in the First World War with the Canadian Army Medical Corps, No. 4, Toronto Unit. She spent one and a half years in salonika and Malta and three years in France. She also saw service on the hospital ships traveling the Atlantic. After a short period with the Victorian Order of Nurses she went to China in 1928 under the auspices of the Rockefeller Foundation. She joined the staff of the Peiping Union Medical College as teaching supervisor. She was making good progress with the language when her health deteriorated and after two years found it necessary to return to Canada. She is survived by one sister, Marjorie, of Victoria, B.C. Memorial service October 18th in St. Vital United Church. Winnipeg Free Press 13 Oct 1969
