  	Findlay Mr. John Findlay, a well-known farmer of Manotick, died suddenly at his home there last Sunday, following a heart attack. Mr Findlay was in his 75th year and was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs Alexander Findlay, of the Scotch Line, and news of his passing will occasion regret among a wide circle of friends. Born at Manotick he resided there all his life. Mr. Findlay. Mr Findlay had been engaged in farming for many years and was still active at the time of his death. He was a member of Manotick United Church, and was held in high regard by many friends. In addition to his widow, the former Sarah Gamble, he is survived by three sons, Dr. Charles A. Findlay, Lemberg, Sask, Dr C.A. Findlay, Ottawa and one daughter, Mrs. E. English of Ottawa and two sisters, Mrs. mack. Ferrier, North Street, Perth, and Mrs A. mcVirr, Metcalfe. The funeral was held on Wednesday afternoon, burial taking place in the South Gloucester Cemetery. Perth Courier 28 Sep 1934, pg.8
