  Notes	Methodism was centred at Glen Tay for many years. When Adams first settled at Glen Tay in 1819 the itinerant preachers of Methodism always stayed with the Adams family. Rev. Carroll was one of them and the late Carroll Adams of the Adams Saw Mill was named after him. Camp meetings had 1000 present one Sunday. Gordon Wilson letter 15 Feb 1966. Dr. Carroll has been in the ministry of the Central Methodist Church of Canada for a period of fifty-one (51) years, besides serving the interests of that Church by his pen. He wrote extensively, his publications numbering thirteen volumes including: The Stripling Preacher The Besieger's Prayer Past and Present Methodist Baptism Case and his Contmporaries (5 volumes) The School of the Prophets The Humble Oveture Father Corson Thoughts and Conclusions many articles in publications
