  	Funeral services for Miss Elsie McLaren, sister of Mrs. Earl Butterfield of Hollister, will be held from the Williams' funeral chapel in San Jose at 11 o'clock this morning. Interment will be made in the local I.O.O.F. Cemetery at 1:30 this afternoon. Miss McLaren was well known in San Benito county. She was a charming girl, possessing a personality that won her many friends. Born in South Dakota in 1905, she came to Hollister with her family to live in 1916. She completed her elementary and high school education here, enrolling shortly afterward in Herald's Business college [actually "Heald Business College"] in San Jose. Her employment with the San Jose bank started immediately after she had completed her business course. She was a popular member of the bank staff and in San Jose and her sudden passing will be mourned by a legion of friends in the Garden City. Aside from her sister in Hollister, Miss McLaren is survived by another sister, Mrs. William Broege of Wilmington, her father Peter McLaren of Wilmington, and two brothers John and Robert McLaren of Wilmington.
