  	Died In Lanark, on the 27th inst., after a long and painful illness, which he bore with christian fortitude, Joseph Lamont, Jr., aged 52 years. He has for many years been a resident of the village of Lanark, where he was universally beloved and esteemed for his obliging and urbane disposition. He had, for a long period, been conductor of the Lamont House, Lanark, and the travelling public will miss a kind and attentive host in the demise of Mr. Lamont.
