- Passed away surrounded by the love of his family, and entered Heaven on Saturday, February 15, 2014 at the age of 83. Predeceased by his loving wife Wynne. Beloved father of Anne (Michael), Tom (Shannon), Laurie and David (Tamara). Loving "Grampa" of Emily, Bennett, Morgan, Molly, Kina and Del. Dear brother of Ruth (David). Predeceased by his siblings Herber t Alton Jr. and Rita (Bill).
Alan will be greatly missed by his nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Visitation will be held at the GLEN OAKS MEMORIAL CHAPEL & RECEPTION CENTRE, 3164 Ninth Line, Oakville (at Dundas St.), on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 from 7-9 p.m. A Celebration of Alan's Life will be held at Church of the Epiphany, 141 Bronte Rd., Oakville, on Thursday, February 20, 2014 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to Ontario Pioneer Camp would be appreciated.
