  	Death - The Lanark Era Newspaper -- from April 23, 1902 - At Elphin, Monday, April 21st, Mary Rutherford, wife of Peter Ferguson, aged 55 years. Burial in Crawford Cemetery. We regret to record the death of Mrs Peter Ferguson, of North Sherbrooke, which took place on April 21st. The deceased, during a period of temporary mental derangement took a quantity of paris green, from the effects of which she died. Medical skill was obtained and everything possible was done to counteract the effects of the poison, but in vain. The body was interred in the Crawford cemetery. The husband and friends of the deceased have the sincerest sympathy of the community.
