Duncan, Heather Diane
Suddenly as the result of an accident on Wednesday, May 2, 1884, in her 7th year, Heather Diane Duncan, beloved daughter of Donald Duncan and Diane Miller. Dear sister of Scott and David of RR 3, Almonte. Dear granddaughter of Mrs. Elizabeth Duncan, of Almonte, and Mr and Mrs J.R. Ernest Miller, Perth. Friends may call at the Kerry Funeral Home, 154 Elgin St., Almonte, for visiting Friday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 pm, thence to the Almonte United Church for service at 11 am on Saturday, Reverend Jack Lougheed officiating. Interment Auld Kirk Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations made to the Eastern Ontario Children's Hospital or the charity of your choice would be appreciated.

Car Strikes six year-old
A six year-od child died in an accident last Wednesday evening when she was struck by a car while bicycling along a Ramsay township road near her home.
Dead is Heather Diane Duncan, daughter of Donald and Diane Duncan who live at RR3, Almonte.
Police report that the youngster was south bound on County Road 17, 4 1/2 km south of Hwy 44 when she attempted to turn left across the roadway and was struck by a car driven by William F. Orr, 45, of RR 2, Carleton Place.
Mr. Orr was travelling at 70 km in an 80 kph zone, and was also south bound, police said. He pulled to the left to avoid hitting the child, but the collision occurred in the northbound lande.
No charges have been laid as a result of the fatal mishap. The investigating officer was Const. Rick Christie of the Perth detatchment of the Ontario Provincial Police.
