  	Plainview News November 22, 1890 OBITUARY Mrs. Adam Lambie of this village, died Saturday evening, Nov. 15 after a long illness, aged 75 years and 8 months. She was born in Scotland, near Glasgow, in 1815, came to Canada at the age of six years where she united with the Presbyterian church. She was married to Adam Lambie in 1883 (should read 1834) and brought up a family of ten children all of whom are now living. In 1874 she came with her husband and family to Plainview where they have since resided. She had lived with her husband 57years, having celebrated their golden wedding seven years ago. This is the first break in the family. The funeral services were conducted at the Congregational church on Tuesday afternoon, Rev. A.L.P. Loomis taking as the text: "Precious in the Sight of the Lord is the Death of his Saints." Nine of the ten children were present at the funeral to accompany their mother's remains to the village cemetery where she was buried. The sons and daughters present from a distance were: Dr. G.F. Merrit and wife, St. Peter; Mrs. S.J. Barns, Blue Earth City; Mrs. J.G. Redding, Windom; Mr. William Lambie and wife, St. Paul; Mr. James Lambie, Merriam Park; Miss Tena Lambie, St. Paul and Mrs. Park, of Mankato, who has been with her during the last three months of her mother's life.
