- McKINNON In Victoria, B.C. on September 22, 1998, Joan Elizabeth ("Wib") McKinnon (nee Menzies), after a lengthy illness. Born March 22, 1919 in Kincaid, Saskatchewan, and raised there and in Vancouver. Widow of the late Honourable Allan McKinnon, PC. She is survived by son, Ian and his wife, Cory and son, Peter and his wife, Patricia; and sister Elaine and brother, Ross.
She has four grandchildren, Lauchlan, John Alexander, Glyn and Gillian. She contracted polio as an infant and fought it throughout her life. She was particularly proud of her work in Ottawa during the War and later for Vivian Diesel in Vancouver. She was a gifted painter, pianist, wife and homemaker, and is already sadly missed. Funeral service will be held at McCall Bros.
Floral Chapel, Johnson and Vancouver Sts on Monday, September 28, at 1 1 :00 a.m. with the Rev. Dr. John Allan officiating. Interment to follow at Royal Oak Burial Park.
