  Married: GIBSON SPERRY SALTCOATS, July 17. A pretty summer wedding took place at the Druid United church at 12 o'clock noon. Wednesday, July 8, when Miss Marjorie Sperry, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. R. Sperry, of Druid, was married to William Gibson, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Gibson, Saltcoats. Rev. Mr. Saunders, Dodsland, officiated. The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, entered the church to the strains of the wedding march played by her sister, Mias Virginia Sperry. She was lovely in a white net bridal gown with tiers of ruffles and at the waist a velvet sash and dainty corsage. Her veil was held in place by a wreath of orange blossoms, and she carried' a bouquet of Sweetheart roses and fern. She was attended by her sister, Miss Dorothy Sperry, who chose a gown of white flowered chiffon with white silk turban and a mist veil. She carried a bouquet of pink and white carnations. Clint Newton attended the groom. Mrs. A. E. Bevan sang. "O Perfect Love." The ushers were Ed Newton and Ed Hamilton. A reception was held at the home of the bride's parents where 34 guests were received by the bridal party. Mr. Saunders proposed a toast to the bride. The newly married couple left on a motor trip to Saskatoon, Waskeaiu and Saltcoats. For travelling the bride chose a navy and plaid tailored suit.
