3608 Choir Sings At Wedding
Wedding music was sung by the boys' choir of Christ Church Cathedral when Marlon Isobel McDermld, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John William McDermld of Buckingham, Que., became the bride of Donald Thomas Elliott, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert M. Elliott of Ottawa.
The Cathedral was adorned with pink and white gladioli and Rev. Arthur Leaker officiated. Given in marriage by her father the bride was attended by her sister, Miss Eileen Mc-Dermid, Frederick Cole was best man and the ushers were Robert Cross and Keith McDermld.
The bride chose an ankle-length gown of white lace over satin. The strapless bodice was covered with a bolero Jacket. Her finger-tip veil was held by a lace headdress and she carried a semi-cascade bouquet of pink roses and stephanotis.
A reception was held at Lauder Memorial Hall, Christ Church Cathedral and later the couple left on a honeymoon trip. The bride travelled In a light blue suit with brown accessories. The couple will live in Ottawa.

3631 CHROME RANCHER TAKES OWN LIFE

SHOOTS SELF IN HEAD WITH .25 - .35 RIFLE

Kendrick Gale Millsaps, 40-year-old stockman in the Chrome area, took his own life at 1 o'clock yesterday afternoon.

A bullet from a .25 - .35 Winchester rifle entered Mr. Millsaps forehead at eyebrow level.

Failing health is believed to be the reason for the prominent Chrome rancher ending his life. He had been in somewhat poor health for about a year.

Called Doctor
At noon yesterday he was not feeling well. He asked his wife, Helen, to call Dr. F. H. Gambell of Willows. She went to the nearest home where a telephone was available and placed a call to the local doctor.

Upon returning to her home she changed the bedding in her husband's bedroom and gave him a clean set of underwear. She then went into the bathroom to bathe. It was while she was in the bathroom that she heard her husband get out of bed and go into the kitchen. She heard a commotion and upon investigating saw her daughter, Juanita, attempting to wrest a .25 rifle from her father. In the struggle the gun was fired three times. One bullet hit the girl on the index finger causing a minor wound. The rifle was finally taken away from Mr. Millsap.

He ran outdoors and opened a door to a storeroom where he obtained the .25 - .35 Winchester. He put the barrel end of this rifle to his forehead and pulled the trigger. He was dead when Dr. Gambell arrived.

Thought He Had Cancer
Mr. Millsap had been receiving treatments for sinus and stomach ailments. He believed he had cancer of the stomach.

In recent years he had an orchestra which played at dances throughout the area. He was a talented musician.

He was born at Chrome and had lived in the district all of his life.

He is survived by his wife, Helen; a daughter, Juanita and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Millsap, all of Chrome.

Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the F. D. Sweet & Son Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Willows Cemetery.

3649 CITIZEN, 91 YEARS OF AGE, IS DEAD
---
Geo. Templeton, Oldest Elder of Knox United Church, Passes Away in 91st Year
---
In the passing Tuesday at midnight of George Templeton, of 230 Fourth avenue west, Calgary, in his 91st year, Calgary has lost one of its ablest old men, who, in spite of his great age, went about the city and took his usual place in church until just recently.

Mr. Templeton was the oldest elder of Knox church and its oldest member, and he regularly attended the services.

The late Mr. Templeton was the founder of a big leather manufacturing concern in Perth, Ontario, the city of his birth, in 1837, the year of the coronation in England of Queen Victoria. In 1891 he came to Calgary for the health of his wife and daughter, their original home being at 220 Seventh avenue west. Mrs. Templeton, however, died in 1909, and was shortly followed by her daughter. Mr. Templeton is survived by two sons, both prominent business men, W.A. Templeton, Winnipeg, and J.G. Templeton, Toronto, whose daughter was a riding partner to the Prince of Wales during his recent visit.

There are no immediate relatives living in Calgary, though Mrs. Hugill, wife of J.W. Hugill, K.C., is a niece, and Inspector Spalding, R.C.M.P., is a cousin.

The funeral will be held in Knox United church, on Friday, at 2:30 o'clock in the afternoon, the service to be conducted by the Rev. George A. Dickson.

The pall-bearers at the funeral will all be personal friends of the deceased, being R.J. Hutchings, Louis Petric, Inspector Spalding, James Linton, W.M. Connacher and James Short, K.C.
