49171 Wm. Willoughby TJETROLIA, Nov. 29 The deaUi of William Willoughbv occurred In the Charlotte Eleanor Englehart Hos- pital here Monday morning in his 81st year. Born in Kilkenny County, Ireland, June 9. 1852. he came to Brooke Township with his parents and later bought a farm of his own on the Tenth Concession of Enniskillen, where he lived until he retired 12 years ago and came to Petroha. In 1873 he married Maggie J. Moore, who died four years ago. Mr. Willoughby led a very active municipal life while he was a farmer. For 15 years he was a member of the Enniskillen Township Council, of which he was deputy reeve for seven years, and he held the position of reeve for 10 terms. He belonged to the United Church and for a number of years was superintendent of the Sunday School In an old Methodist Church of the Tenth Line.

Born June 15, 1916, passed away with her daughter and son-in-law by her side on Monday, February 27, 2006. She moved to Richmond from South Burnaby in 1986 to be nearer her family and spent many happy hours with the South Arm United Church Quilters. She was predeceased by her husband Ian and brother William Heslop, will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Mary-Jean (Rick) and grandsons Christopher, Michael and Daniel. The family would like to thank Dr. Sigismund and the staff of Fraserview Care Lodge and Richmond Hospital 3 South and 2 South for their care and kindness. A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 4, 2006 at 1:30 pm at South Arm United Church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart Stroke Foundation. 49181 Word has been received here of the death in Kingston Ont., on Saturday of John R. A. Samuels, piano manufacturers' agent, and a former resident of Ottawa. He was 72 years of age. Mr. Samuels lived on Waverley atreet in Ottawa for many years and news of his passing will be received with regret by many friends in Ottawa. He had been a resident of Kingston for soma years.

Surviving in addition to his wife are a son, Jack Samuels of Ottawa, and a daughter, Mrs. Alice Eadie, also of Ottawa.

The funeral is being held this afternoon at 3:30 o'clock from Reid's funeral home in Kingston to the cemetery there.
