I think this is a note to my dad in Munson from his uncle Wm. Murray. Dad would only have been seven years old at the time but was infatuated with the lore of the frontier (cowboys, fur traders etc,). Dad had probably heard of bannock and wrote to his once fur trader uncle requesting the recipe. I venture that was the one and only time dad evidenced any interest in cooking. Ronald may have been a horse on Wm. Murray's farm at Lacombe.
