    Smiths Falls, Ont., Oct. 31
    At the age of 84 years, Mrs. John Hunter, one of this town's oldest residents who wa a lifelong resident of this district died last night, following two weeks illness from pneumonia.
    Mrs. Hunter was Miss Jessie McGregor before her marriage and her husband was one of the oldest residents of South Elmsley township. Mrs. Hunter leaves a daughter, Miss Elizabeth, at home; and three sons, Hugh A. on the homestead; Peter, South Elmsley and Hugh in Smiths Falls.
    The funeral service will be conducted tomorrow afternoon at the old homestead by her pastor, Rev. Dr. Semple of the United Church to which she belonged. Interment will take place in Maplevale cemetery Smiths Falls.
