    Died:
    Miller -
There passed away at her home in Bathurst in the early morning of the 18th inst., Mrs Ellen Miller, after an illness of but a few days. Mrs. Miller had reached the remarkable age of 92 years and 4 months and up to the time of her illness had been in good health with intellect bright and with a capacity for sharing with others in the joys and sorrows.

Over half a century ago at the early age of 47 years her life partner Mr. Andrew Miller passed away and on the shoulders of Mrs Miller fell the task of caring for and directing the activities of a large family. Patience, fortitude and self-sacrifice were outstanding virtues in the life of the deceased and added to these was a brightness of life and a depth of sympathy that won for her friendship that lasted throughout her life and living memories that will long remain with those who knew her. In life she experienced the sustaining and upholding grace of God and in death she passed to be with her Saviour whom she loved and in whose service she found quiet joy.

Mrs. Miller leaves to mourn the loss of a devoted mother, two daughters, Adaline, whose life was so closely linked with that of the deceased, and Tena (Mrs. John Jordan of Christy's Lake); also five sons, Nelson of Crookston, Minn; Sydney, of Edmonton, Alta; Norman of town; and Edwin and Harvey of Bathurst. Three sons predeceased their mother, Lorenzo and Arthur of Crookston, and Albert who died in infancy.

The funeral was held on Friday afternoon when friends and neighbors in large numbers congregated at the home to pay a silent tribute to one who for such a lengthy span of years had lived and moved amongst them. The funeral services was in charge of Rev. Mr. Harrison, minister of Clavin Church, assisted by Rev. M.C. Mackinnon of St. Paul's Church, town. During the service a most appropriate duet was effectively rendered by Miss Marion Palmer and Mr. R. W. Palmer. The bearers were Messrs. W.J. Palmer, John Korry, Sterling Miller, Alex. Kirkham, Willie Stewart and Roy Miller. The body was placed in the vault in Elmwood Cemetery awaiting interment at a later date.
