    Rev. ?b?Stillman ?/b?was a graduate of Adams High School and Empire State College. He was a dairy and poultry farmer until the age of 52, when he attended the Wesley Seminary in Washington, D.C. He served many upstate churches, including Sulfur Springs, Bombay and S. Bombay, Ft. Covington, Massena, Brasher Falls, N. Lawrence, Buckton, Newport and Middleville, Dekalb and Dekalb Junction. He retired in 1989 after pastoring the Middlesex and Vine Valley United Methodist Churches in the Finger Lakes area.
    Rev. ?b?Stillman ?/b?is survived by his wife of 64 years, Roberta Shelmidine ?b?Stillman?/b?; six children, Elwin (Pamela) ?b?Stillman?/b?, Diane ?b?Stillman?/b?, Marvin ?b?Stillman?/b?, Marcia ?b?Stillman?/b?, Wayne ?b?Stillman ?/b?and Cathy ?b?Stillman?/b?; six grandchildren, Benjamin Loomis, Phillip ?b?Stillman?/b?, Molly ?b?Stillman?/b?, Joel Provost, Joy Dyson, and Robert ?b?Stillman?/b?; nine great-grandchildren; and his twin sister, Leona Macklen. He was predeceased by his son, Alan ?b?Stillman ?/b?in 1961, and by his parents, Benjamin and Mae Spencer ?b?Stillman?/b?.

    Roberta was a loving mother and homemaker. She was an active member of the Rushville United Methodist Church. She held past offices with the United Methodist Women in the Local, District and Conference of Northern New York, and in the Northeast Jurisdiction for the United Methodist Women. She loved giving to Friendship House and to others, and was a member of Rushville Tuesday Club.
    Roberta is survived by six children - Elwin (Pam) ?b?Stillman?/b?, Diane ?b?Stillman?/b?, Marvin (Susan) ?b?Stillman?/b?, Marcia ?b?Stillman?/b?, Wayne ?b?Stillman?/b?, and Cathy ?b?Stillman?/b?; two brothers - Robert "Bunny" Shelmidine and Stanley (Ilene) Shelmidine; two sisters - Madeline (Joseph) Segouin, and Ida (Stanley) Holland; sister-in-law, Jean Shelmidine; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
    A brief Burial Ceremony will be held in Adams Rural Cemetery on Friday, June 9th at 9:30 a.m. A Memorial Service will
    follow at 11 a.m. at the Lorraine United Methodist Church.
