    ISAAC FERRIER PERTH July 22

    Funeral of Isaac Ferrier prominent businessman of Perth for a long period and widely known in the town and throughout the surrounding district was held on Saturday afternoon from Alex Blair and Son's funeral home to Elmwood Cemetery. Rev Milroy minister of St Andrew's Presbyterian Church conducted the services. In his 81st year the late Mr Ferrier was born in the Township of North Burgess son of the late Isaac Ferrier and his wife the former Catherine Fisher pioneer residents of the district of South Lanark. He engaged in farming in North Burgess for over 30 years then came to Perth and formed a partnership with the late Peter Noonan to operate a farm implement agency. After the death of Mr Noonan the business was sold by Mr Ferrier who then opened a flour and feed business which he conducted until 10 years ago when he retired. Over 42 years ago Mr Ferrier was married to Miss Minnie Warren of Perth who survives together with four sons James Ferrier and Cameron Ferrier both of Perth; William Ferrier of Toronto and George Ferrier of Montreal. Also surviving is a sister Mrs Walter Turnbull of Rathwell, Man; and a brother James Ferrier of the Scotch Line near Perth. Mr Ferrier was predeceased by two brothers Abraham Ferrier and John Ferrier and three sisters Mrs George Palmer; Mrs (Christine) Moodie; and Mrs (Jennie) Moodie.
