    Her obituary appeared on 28 Dec 1939 in the Hammond Advertiser in Hammond, St. Lawrence, New York, as follows: "Former Morristown Woman Passes Away.

    Morristown--Word has been received here during the past week, of the death of Mrs. Etta Bishop, at the home of her sister, Mrs. George Barney in Syracuse.

    Mrs. Bishop was formerly Mrs. Edward [sic] Miller of this place, a sister of the late Frank Watson.
    Funeral services were held in Syracuse Sunday at 2:30 and the body was placed in a vault pending interment in the spring.

    Surviving Mrs. Bishop are two sisters, Mrs. Barney of Syracuse and Mrs. K. D. Sherwood of Ottawa, as well as a number of nieces and nephews.
