Clifford Baird
Clifford Baird, age 74, of St. Paul's Home, Dauphin, died July 5, 1973, at Dauphin General Hospital. The funeral was held July 9 at First Baptist Church, Dauphin, with Rev. J.A. Roskam officiating.

Pallbearers were Thomas Brown, R.B. Colwell, Garry Hockridge, Len Richardson, Joe Tischinski and Bill Carmichael. Riverside funeral chapel was in charge of arrangements.

Clifford Baird was born in Rathwell. Educated in Dauphin, he became a cattle buyer and butcher with his father until 1939. He then became an employee of the Town of Dauphin as a painter until ill health forced him to retire. He then lived in St. Paul's Home.

Surviving are three duaghers, (Leah) Mrs Ed McCallum of Dauphin, (Ethel) Mrs. Lavern Grey of Edmonton, (Marion) Mrs. Edward Wahlenberg of Thompson; three sons, Roy of Snow Lake, Hugh A. of Dauphin, Albert of Toronto; four brothers, William of Virden, Ross of Richmond Hill, BC, Edward of Swan River, Roy of Ottawa; two dissters, Mrs. Ruby Little and Mrs. Janet Wallace, both of Dauphin; 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Hannah Silverwood, on Aug. 9, 1972.

Clifford married Hannah Silverwood in 1920. Hannah (daughter of Isaac Silverwood and Hannah Dyson) was born in 1899 in England; died on 9 Aug 1962 in Dauphin Census Division, Manitoba, Canada; was buried in Riverside Cemetery, Dauphin, Dauphin Census Division, Manitoba, Canada. Mrs. Clifford Baird
The death of Mrs. Clifford Baird, age 63 years, occurrred in Dauphin General Hospital, Thursday, Aug. 9, following a short illness. Funeral services were held from Dauphin First Baptist church Saturday, Aug. 11, with Rev. G.G. Stainger officiating.

Pallbearers were: Vern Anger, Joe Arthurs, Eugene Jensen, Len Richardson, Ralph Strickland, John Thomas. Interment was in Riverside cemetery. Eggertson's funeral service was in charge.

Hannah Silverwood was born in Yorkshire, England and came to Dauphin with her parents in 1906. She married Clifford Baird in Dauphin in 1920.

Besides her husband she is survived by three sons and three daughters: Roy, Flin Flon; Hugh, Dauphin; Albert, Toronto, Ont.; Mrs E.W. McCallum (Leah); Daulphin; Mrs L.E. Gray (Ethel), Edmonton, Alta; Mrs E. Wahlenberg (Marion), Flin Flon; and nine grandchildren. There are three sisters: Mrs Frank Webb, Vancouver, BC; Mrs L.C. Gensen, Dauphin; Mrs L. Billard, Glaslyn, Sask.
