    Harold Lorenz Sr of 4 Brook St father of a Concord resident died yesterday at a Manchester hospital after a sudden illness. He was 58. He leaves his wife Helen (Graves) Lorenz of Derry; a daughter; four sons, including Peter Lorenz of Concord: five grandchildren: two brothers and several nieces and nephews.

    Services will be held at a later date at the First Church Congregational East Derry. Arrangements are incomplete.

    Memorial contributions may be made to the Alexander Eastman Hospital The Peabody Funeral Home in in charge of arrangements.

    OBITUARY:

    Helen "Pat" Graves Lorenz, 89 of Bedford, NH passed away on Wednesday, May 4, 2011 in the Laurel Center, Bedford, NH. She was born August 30, 1921 in Watertown, NY, a daughter of the late Joseph L. and Kathleen (Clark) Graves. She had been a resident of Deerfield, NH as well as Manchester and Derry, NH. She attended the University at Buffalo for 3 years and then graduated from Nursing School in Exeter, NH. As a military wife, she and her children traveled the world where Mr. Lorenz was stationed. Mrs. Lorenz was employed as a Licensed Practical Nurse at the Alexander Eastman Hospital in Derry, NH. She was a founding member and the first President of the NH LPN Association and had the honor of being named LPN of the year. Mrs. Lorenz was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, a member of the Central Congregational Church in Derry and loved spending time with her family. She was an avid reader, enjoyed playing the piano and making arts and crafts. Mrs. Lorenz was an exceptional woman, wife, mother, grandmother and friend who would gladly do anything for anybody, anytime.

    She is survived by three sons; Eric Lorenz and his wife Janet of Bedford, Peter C. Lorenz and his wife Nancy of Concord, NH, Christopher Robin Lorenz of Yuba City, CA, a daughter; Kathy C. Peterson and her husband Stuart of Yuba City, CA, a daughter in law: Joan Lorenz of Goffstown, NH, her two best friends and caregivers; Madeline Clark and Betty Bernier, both of Derry and by 18 grandchildren as well as many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband; Harold R. Lorenz, Sr. in 1980, her son; Harold R. Lorenz, Jr. in 2009 and by two sisters; Margaret Holdridge and Betty Tiffany.


    There will be no visiting hours. Following cremation, graveside services will be held on Monday, May 9, 2011 at 2:00pm in the Forest Hill Cemetery, E. Derry.
