MRS. ROBERT (DORA) JOHNSON resident Funeral services for Mrs. Robert (Dora) Johnson of 351 Highway 51 South in Madison were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 29, at the Madison Baptist Church with burial in Montgomery Cemetery in Madison.
Baldwin, Lee and Barnes Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Officiating ministers were the Rev. Kenneth Sheppard, the Rev. Roy McHenry and the Rev. L. E. Tapp. Mrs. Johnson, 70, died Thursday, Dec. 27, in Doctors Hospital in Jackson after a short illness.
Mrs. Johnson was a native of Silver Creek and had lived in Madison for the past 25 years. She was a member of the Homemakers Club and a member of the Madison Baptist Church where she was active in church work. Survivors include three sons, Dan Johnson and Watts Johnson, both of Madison, and Robert Johnson of Hattiesburg; five daughters, Mrs. Ken (Billie) Sheppard of Mena, Mrs. Tony H. (Peggy) Dean of Ocean Springs, Mrs. Carl Ray (Gail) Furr of Jackson, Mrs. Charles E. (Gloria) Marble of Columbia, S.C., and Mrs. Gerald P. (Mary) Cowen of Bolivar, a brother, A. D. Jones of Jackson; two sisters, Mrs.W.H. Hall and Mrs. J. L. DeLancey, both of Prentiss; and 14 grandchildren. Pallbearers were Tony H. Dean, Carl Ray Furr, Charles E. Marble, Gerald P. Cowen, Johnny R. Dean and Jerry G. Dean.
